Automotive Technicians - ALL LEVELS - Canton, NC

Job Duties


  • Diagnose vehicle issues using computerized diagnostic equipment and visual inspections.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Repair or replace worn or damaged parts, including brake pads, wheel bearings, and sensors.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Test drive vehicles to confirm repairs and detect any other issues.
  • Provide accurate estimates for repair costs and timelines to customers.
  • Maintain detailed records of all repairs and services performed.
  • Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers about vehicle issues and repair options.
  • Stay current with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
  • Ensure a clean and organized workspace.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; formal automotive training from a technical school or community college preferred.
  • ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification is highly desirable. (Not required by highly desirable, will pay for ASE certification)
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic and repair tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting heavy parts and working in various positions for extended periods.
